5 Attractions You Must See While Visiting Bohol, Philippines

There are many things to see and do while you are visiting the island of Bohol, Philippines, but these five attractions are a must-do on your first trip.

1.The Chocolate Hills There are more than 1,268 cone-shaped hills – a very strange geological formation that has baffled geologists for years. These hills are spread over an area of 50 square kilometers and vary in size from 30 meters to 120 meters in height. These cone-shaped hills spread out on a natural open plateau  looking like mystic mounds. You’ve to see them to believe it!

2.The Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary is an approximately 134-hectare land that has been set aside as a protected area for the Philippine Tarsier. Tarsiers are small and only weigh about 113 to 142 grams. They are the world’s smallest mammels. They have big eyes and can rotate their heads to almost 180 degrees.

3.Dolphin and Whale Watching The sea around Pamilacan Island is frequented by whales and dolphins. The island is considered a jump off to an area where at least seven species of marine mammals like sperm whales have been sighted.

4.Panglao Island The best Bohol attractions for most visitors are the prestine ,white sand beaches. The most famous is Alona Beach, an 800 meter stretch of white powdery sand, is located in the south of Panglao Island.

5.Loboc river cruise is just 21 km from Tagbilaran City – enjoy a ride on board boat restaurants. The trip starts at the Loay Bridge and ends near the Busay Falls, a bathing spot.

Although there are many more tourist attractions on the island of Bohol, you can always come back and see them. But do not leave your first trip to Bohol without seeing these five attractions. You’ll be glad you did and you can thank me later!
